About SmartMark

What is the current status of SmartMark?

SmartMark is currently in alpha testing phase. This means we are actively developing and refining the platform based on user feedback. Features may change, and occasional bugs might occur as we work to improve the experience.

How can I get access to SmartMark?

Currently, SmartMark is available by invitation only. This limited access helps us manage growth and ensure a quality experience for early users. If you received an invite code from an existing user or directly from our team, you can use it to create an account.

When will SmartMark be available to everyone?

We're planning to gradually expand access over the coming months. Our goal is to ensure the platform is reliable, effective, and provides significant educational value before opening it to the general public.

Features & Capabilities

Can I create my own question sets?

Yes! SmartMark allows you to create custom question sets with their own mark schemes. You can add images, format text, and structure questions according to your needs. This is perfect for teachers preparing material for their students or students creating practice sets for specific topics.

How can I share question sets with others?

You can export your question sets as JSON files (including any uploaded images) and share them with other SmartMark users. Recipients can import these files into their account to access your questions. This makes it easy to collaborate with classmates or distribute practice materials.

What about copyright when sharing content?

When creating and sharing question sets, it's important to respect copyright laws. Only share content that you have created yourself, that is in the public domain, or that you have permission to distribute. Do not copy questions directly from published textbooks, past papers, or other copyrighted sources without proper permission. If you're a teacher sharing with your students or using content for educational purposes, make sure you comply with fair use or educational exemptions applicable in your region.

What subjects does SmartMark support?

SmartMark is designed to be flexible and can handle questions from virtually any subject. Our AI grading works particularly well for subjects with structured answers like sciences, humanities, languages, and mathematics. The effectiveness of AI grading may vary depending on the complexity and subjectivity of the questions.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

SmartMark offers both online and offline storage options. In offline mode, all your data (questions, answers, and progress) is stored locally on your device and never leaves your computer. This gives you complete control over your information but means your data isn't accessible from other devices.

What happens to my data in offline mode?

In offline mode, your data is saved in your browser's local storage. This means if you clear your browser data or switch to a different device, you won't have access to your previously created content. We recommend regularly exporting important question sets as a backup.

Is my data secure?

We take data security seriously. In offline mode, your data never leaves your computer. For online features, we use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information. Your answers are only used for grading purposes and not stored long-term unless you explicitly choose to save them.
